The Office of State Representative Josh Tarsky is looking for highly motivated high school

students in the district to apply for its Youth Council, a unique opportunity to help shape the

future of Beacon Hill. Young people are crucial to our country’s future, and our office is committed to empowering young people through chances to contribute and learn skills that will arm them with the confidence to succeed. We firmly believe that the youth of our district are valued members of our community and that there is much to learn from their voices, experiences, and viewpoints.

Members of the Council will serve as Representative Tarsky’s foremost advisors on the youth

population in the district and will meet monthly with the Representative and his staff to discuss

issues prevalent to them and their communities. Members can expect to gain experience and

understanding in issue research, the legislative process, messaging, outreach, advocacy, and

leadership, with opportunities to apply these skills to projects within the district. The Council

will run from October 2026 to June 2027.

To Apply:

Any high school students who live in the 13th Norfolk District are invited to apply. The

application can be accessed through the following Google Form. The deadline for applications is September 4th, 2026, at 5:00 PM. Applications will begin to be considered starting the following Monday.
