As Massachusetts faced rising costs and uncertainty surrounding changes at the federal level, the state needed to ensure continued access to essential programs and services while maintaining fiscal responsibility. The supplemental budget provides funding for programs facing shortfalls while making strategic investments to support residents and strengthen the Commonwealth’s financial position.

I was proud to vote yes on H.4530. This supplemental budget bill will infuse needed funds into our strained hospitals and healthcare centers and prioritize care for the state’s most vulnerable populations.

Hospitals and community health centers across Massachusetts have faced growing financial challenges due to rising health care costs, increased demand for services, and funding uncertainty at the federal level.
