Are you a high school student seeking to better your community? Do you care about local and
state issues? Are you actively interested in government? Apply for Representative Tarsky’s Youth Council!
The Office of State Representative Josh Tarsky is looking for highly-motivated high school
students in the district to apply for its Inaugural Youth Council, an unique opportunity to help
shape the future of Beacon Hill. Young people are crucial to our country’s future, and our office is committed to empowering young people through chances to contribute and learn skills that will arm them with the confidence to succeed. We firmly believe that the youth of our district are valued members of our community and that there is much to learn from their voices, experiences, and viewpoints.
Members of the Council will serve as Representative Tarsky’s foremost advisors on the youth
population in the district and will meet monthly with the Representative and his staff to discuss
issues prevalent to them and their communities. Members can expect to gain experience and
understanding in issue research, the legislative process, messaging, outreach, advocacy, and
leadership, with opportunities to apply these skills to projects within the district. The Council
will run from October 2025 to August 2026.
