Government has a responsibility to protect residents, support public health, and ensure that laws keep pace with changing technology and the evolving needs of Massachusetts communities.

This month's newsletter contains April highlights including my Inaugural Speech, appearing before the Joint Committee on Labor and Workforce Development, and information on the upcoming "State of the District" events happening in all three towns in May.

The state budget is one of the Legislature’s most important responsibilities because it determines how Massachusetts invests taxpayer dollars to support residents, communities, and essential public services.

Safe and reliable transportation infrastructure is essential to the daily lives of residents, businesses, and communities across Massachusetts. Cities and towns across the Commonwealth face ongoing challenges maintaining roads, bridges, and other transportation assets while also preparing infrastructure for the impacts of climate change and future growth.
